Bogchamp was one of a band of goblins that tried to rob Era, Merle Stonefist, and Lamaia in the foothills of the Blue Shale Mountains after they had fled Keen after it had fallen to Thrakkus‘s forces.
The three heroes easily slew Bogchamp’s band, and not wishing to meet the same fate, Bogchamp bargained for his life. He told them that the night before he had seen a winged woman flying across the starry sky, carrying what looked like a gnome. The heroes believed this to be the same strange woman who had taken Ozrifathimous Zorastigallion. Bogchamp offered to show them the direction she had flown in for exchange for his life. The heroes agreed, but still kept him as a prisoner.
Along the road to Karakzhar, the three heroes gave Bogchamp his freedom and offered him a chance to join them in their visit with the dwarves. The goblin met this offer with a quick retreat in the other direction.
Bogchamp returned some time later, in the dwarven city as the three heroes were attempting to escape Korrog‘s relentless forces. He showed them a sewer entrance in which they could lay low and rest, and brought them healing potions, though he was silent on how he came to posses them. Fearing combat, he stuck to the sewers while the three pressed further into the city, promising to guard the slimy pipe in case they needed to return.
After Korrog’s defeat, Bogchamp was reluctantly welcomed by the dwarves of Karakzhar. He stayed with Era, Merle, and Lamaia through the winter, and joined them when they set off for Keen when the snows melted in the spring.
It was thought that the crude little goblin had perished during a cave in as the heroes and a contingent of 50 dwarves were making their way back into the mines of Dhol Kuldhir. This wasn’t the case, however. Bogchamp returned once again to save his friends from the underdark arena of Kaldaran Blackhammer. To the surprise of all, Bochamp revealed himself to be a young copper dragon in disguise and spirited the three heroes away from Kaldaran’s forces.
Bogchamp, or Bogchranx in the dragon’s tongue, explained that there was a great going on, and the heroes were a major part of it. He told them that he needed to meet with the Metallic Council and report all he knew. He promised he would see them all again, and took off into the underdark.
